You have heard the terms "one-party state" and "two-party state" in Judge Pirro's courtroom. What these terms generally refer to are the requirements that have been imposed by law for tape-recording a conversation in that particular state. Generally, in one-party states, only one party to the conversation needs to consent to it being recorded. However, in two-party states, generally all parties to the conversation need to consent to it being recorded.
Most states have also enacted laws that impose criminal penalties for the unauthorized recording of conversations.

I think you make alot of mistakes on your show. You do not listen to both parties the same. It's like you make a decision to fast on one side and thats it.You did that twice on Thursday's show. I see Judge Mathis is one of your producers and he does that also. I do not watch him any more because of that. I thought you were more open before but you changed. I was on Judge Pirro's for a taping on one of her shows in September 2009. I help my husband raise his two kids since they were two and three years old. My stepdaughter after raising her for sixteen years had a baby. Then I raised her daughter who she had out of wedlock for ten months, and had me stuck at home as a live in babysitter. The conditions were that she would go to school full time and work part time. The daughters refuse and just wanted to party and sleep all day. When I took her to court the Judge felt I shouldn't get paid because that's the price I pay for marring a man with children? The program comes on all the time and the Judge even threw out the real mother out of her court room because she felt she didn't do her job in caring for her kids. Every time this episode comes on people who know us call and tell us that that was unfair of the Judge not to pay me. I am not her mother and what does that say of people who marry others with kids? I feel I was robbed and so do my friends and family who see the program. I feel the producers and the Judge were just being cheap about having to pay me the money they convince me I would get if I went on their stupit program. Judge Pirro’s even ask my stepdaughter do you think you should pay your step mom. It wasn’t the brats call it was the Judge’s call. That’s why I went on the program. Now I have been trying to get a tape recording of the program like they promise and I haven’t even gotten that. Do the Judge's ever admit to being wrong? At least with Judge Judy you know she is going to be a blank but Judge Pirro's basically told every one who watches her show to keep away from people who have kids. All I want is a taping to show the Judge here in Nevada that I want to be paid for over $7000.00 in back medical bills that I have fork out you think that Judge will tell me the same thing that's my lost for marring a man who has custody of his kids? Since the program our daughter meet a man in prison 29 years her older than her and has not let us seen the baby since the show. I wantted the judge's help to teach her a lesson. Sorry Judge you don't have all the answers!
A nurse and a doctor at a nursing station were unknowingly recorded by a patient visitor having a conversation with negative comments about another nurse and doctor. The recording was given to the doctor of the patient, who in turn took the recording to the hospital administration with the intention to punish those involved. Would not the method of obtaining the information be considered illegal in the state of Nevada?
