Salahi Party Crashers
The latest fiasco involving the egocentric, power hungry, wannabe celebrities, Michaele and Tareq Salahi, is matched only by the apparent laziness, ineptitude, or incompetence of the United States Secret Service who allowed these lawsuit challenged bozos into the inner sanctum of a White House State Dinner. Their actions are nothing more than a reminder of how some government employees - in this case the United States Secret Service - who are paid by each of us with our hard earned tax dollars to protect the President, are not worthy of the jobs they hold. This utter lack of even the most fundamental requirements of not just safety, but protocol, requires both swift and certain sanctions. Hell, I've been to private parties, and hosted a few myself, that had better security.
As an elected district attorney for many years, I know first-hand the passion and excellence of those members of law enforcement who give up the better life and higher paying jobs because they believe in what they do. They are my heroes. By the same token, I also know of civil servants who take advantage of taxpayer funded government jobs, and do as little as possible to keep those jobs.
Examples: the parole officers in the Phillip Garrido case who did nothing to uncover the fact that 12-year-old Jaycee Lee Dugard was being raped and impregnated for 19 years while under their watch; the Cleveland police in the Anthony Sowell case who paid little attention to a naked woman falling out of a second floor window of a registered sex offender's house, and the stench of decaying corpses (which they conveniently and lazily blamed on a neighboring sausage factory); and Major Nidal Malik Hasan who allegedly communicated with a terrorist leader, spewed hatred of our government, and love of suicide bombers, while under our watch and pay!
I, for one, am tired of government employees not doing their jobs. Enough! Either supervise them properly or fire them. I'm not talking about desk duty or disciplinary action. There is too much at stake. I'm tired of people being politically correct and not being morally right.
Something tells me that like the Heenes (balloon boy parents), the Salahis will be criminally charged - as well they should be. Possible charges they might face include lying to a federal officer, which is a federal crime, punishable by imprisonment. Even if they didn't specifically lie to the Secret Service in order to gain entry to the party, Federal law, 18 U.S.C. § 1001, still makes it a crime if they knowingly and willfully concealed, or covered up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact. The material fact here: they were not invited to the party!
At the very least, even if the Salahis are not prosecuted, this is a game-changer. Even if they went through magnetometers, there still could be dangerous liquid in a perfume bottle. We live in a world where liquids and microorganisms are the new warfare and a magnetometer can't stop that. The message to the world is: "it can be done," and the Secret Service agent or agents, whose salaries we pay, need to be identified.
No longer should government employees who do not take their jobs seriously be allowed to remain on the government arm. In the Phillip Garrido, Anthony Sowell, and Fort Hood cases, their laziness led to murder and life-altering damage. In the Salahi's case, we should be grateful that nothing happened. What did happen was the Secret Service proved to the world, on the world's stage, that we look like the very bozos that the Salahis want to play on TV.

I don't believe for a second that the Secret Service droped the ball on this - Obama has refused to allow his 'social secretary' to comment on this, and he is trying to get the SS to take the fall for it. They were invited, and they could no more get past the SS than they could sprout wings and fly, unless they were invited. There is a picture going around theinternet showing Obama in a group shot with these two 'winners' taken in 2005.
On another note, Ms. Pirro knocked it out of the park last night in her tet-a-tet with Gloria Alred. Alred came off as a hick lawyer who didn't know an apple from a moose. Good job, Jeannine!
It will be interesting to see how much or if the Salahis will have to spend any time incarcerated. Will they get slapped on the hands like the Heenes (plastic bubble) or get a real punishment? Go ahead President Obama, make an example out of them!!! It's got to start somewhere, because these foolish crimes have to stop!!

This should never have happened. Not only do we need to get rid of government employees that do not do their job, but we also need to get rid of people in public offices that do not do their job!!! For instance look at newly elected Mark Ridley-Thomas and how he loves to spend the tax payers dollars. Recently he was given $400,000 to spend anyway he wanted. This is our money. He was going to spend it on his office remodel because he said, "He deserved it", what a diva. He is disgusting!!! I mean a person can buy a house today for that amount of money that was given to him. Rather than donate it to a Heads Start program, or musical instruments for schools, or half a dozen other much needed programs, he is given almost a half million dollars to spend how he wants. He can even spend it on a vacation. Why is the City Counsel giving themselves and him tax payers dollars in hugh amounts when CA. is so in debt that most of the state workers have taken pay cuts and lost days and yet he is spending our dollars on crap? We need to get rid of all the City Counsel fat cats and get them out of office. They are all corrupt and just out for number one. We need more public servants like Michael Antonovich who actually wants the best for CA. and sacrafices for us. I will personally work to try and get people to vote against all of these fat cats that are causing Ca. to become the poorest state in the nation because they are just too greedy and selfish to do their job.
Thank God nothing happened! Can you imagine if they would've been terrorists? By the way, I wonder where were the President's children at the time? Hopefully the guards ARE taking good care of the girls.

This isn't about the Salehis, but I didn't see where else to email. I want to say how glad I was to have someone finally call out the Knox family and their PR campaign supporters as Jeanine did on Fox. There is substantial evidence to support all 3 defendants' convictions, and they belong in jail. All the smoke and mirrors defense (which you smartly pointed out was done in OJ's case) cannot change the evidence. DNA, phone records, inconsistent statements, confessions and motive and opportunity all show Italy convicted the right 3. The biased coverage in this country just because Knox is pretty and American is a disgrace to the victim and her family. The victim was tortured to death. Those 3 did it, and they deserve to be locked up.
I just hope we actually learn something from this rather than use it as conversation around the water cooler. The fact these bozos gained access to a PRIVATE PARTY in the WHITE HOUSE is laughable until you realize the magnitude of this expose. If the secret service can't do their job i have serious doubts about all other security sectors. As for the party crashers themselves? They are just a byproduct of our increasingly superficial culture. IN a perfect world this would of just been posted on their facebook/flicker account, had a dozen comments and they could die happy and "too cool" but unfortunately these two along with millions others have forgotten about the real world and the very real threats we are faced with
I hope they get prosecuted to the highest degree. They need to be made an example of. I'm in shock that they were able to waltz into the W.H. and penetrate security. How scary is that? We've let our guard down, did we learn nothing from Sep 11? We just proved to the world how vulnerable and irresponsible we are. I'm outraged that our own secret service failed in their duty to the POTUS and to America. Thankfully nothing happened. The Salahi's have committed a federal crime - they should be put behind bars! (They must be regretting those 15 minutes of fame).
These people digust me. The nerve. How DARE they. They're just shameless social parasites and delusional, immature wannabees. These pushy idiots didn't have any right to take advantage of the laziness and incompetence of the secret Service and other White House security personnel. They weren't invited. And if they weren't invited they didn't belong there. Period. And enough of their feeble excuses already. These people are worthless losers. They should be sent a bill for all the food and liquor they consumed.
I agree! It's disgusting to see so many people who have "job security" in their jobs and just basically show up to collect a paycheck. So many people just do not take pride in their work and in their jobs. To ALL of them, I say "Quit! I, and millions of others, will be glad to take the job and believe me when I tell you I'll do it better than you are obviously doing it!" Unfortunately, this applies to many persons in jobs both in the private and public sectors. It's sad.
I also would like to see the media stop wasting so much time on persons like this couple. They are basically making them celebrities! And for what? For showing a lack of respect and class? This couple and the media that is wasting our time by telling us about them, should be ashamed of themselves. Find something real to do!
