Lindsay Lohan Has Another Bad Week

Lindsay Lohan had another bad week. She deserves it. Three men allege she held them hostage after she jumped into the driver's seat of their GMC Denali truck to chase an assistant who had just quit her employ. Lohan claims the men had a good time and the lawsuit is baseless.
Her lawyers claim that if the men didn't enjoy the ride they could simply have gotten out of the truck. They also question why it took more than a year for the men to file suit.
The whole thing sounds laughable except that Lohan was stoned, drunk, driving a vehicle that wasn't hers, terrorizing everyone in the car, running red lights and speeding through the streets of Santa Monica, CA. She endangered not only those in the vehicle, but everyone in her path as well. In their effort to spin the truth, Lohan's lawyers conveniently ignore the fact that the one guy who did jump out of the truck Lohan drove was run over by her!
Her lawyers say that the men are only looking for their fifteen minutes of fame. Quite the contrary, they are looking for and are entitled to justice.
Lohan was eventually convicted of two counts of being under the influence of cocaine as well as driving under the influence of alcohol from a previous incident in Beverly Hills. Of note -- but not to be delved into here -- is the fact that she served 84 minutes in jail. How sad is it that justice for 'celebrities' is so slanted? Her mantra, in fact, as she commandeered the truck was 'I'm a celebrity nothing will happen to me.'
These three men by waiting the year that Lohan's lawyer complained about were smarter than it appears. Since Lohan has been convicted beyond a reasonable doubt of two crimes while driving the vehicle their civil claim is on a much stronger footing. It has already been proven that she was out of control and under the influence of cocaine. They need now only prove that they were held against their will as she maniacally chased her assistant through the streets. Their claim is buttressed immeasurably by the young man who actually jumped out risking his own life.
I have always believed in the justice system no matter how unjust it seems at times. Lohan may have proclaimed her celebrity status was a prophylactic and she may have scoffed at her 84-minute sentence but in the end, these three young men will have the last laugh!
