Heather Locklear Arrested

As you may have heard, the California Highway Patrol arrested Heather Locklear last Saturday night, September 27 on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of controlled substance.
In April 2008 Locklear divorced her husband of 11 years, Richie Sambora, who was arrested for a DUI earlier this year. Ironically, Sambora avoided prosecution for endangering the welfare of a child even though his 10-year-old daughter was in the car. The police believed that Sambora was under the influence therefore, he was endangering the welfare of his child as well. How does one get into a car and drive while under the influence of alcohol and not be charged with endangering a minor in that same car? Any judge would question both parents parenting skills.
A judge reviewing custody and visitation will probably assess which parent is more dangerous. The shame of this is that both Sambora and Locklear have enough money to get a driver to ensure the safety of their minor child, Ava. In addition to being prosecuted for their crimes these "parents" should be held in contempt of court and risk losing visitation if they continuously drive under the influence and endanger their child or anyone else's child.
