Judge Jeanine Pirro's Education
Born in the small upstate New York farming town of Elmira in 1951, Judge Pirro became one of New York's most acclaimed politicians. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in three years, earned a BA from the University of Buffalo, magna cum laude, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) law degree from Albany Law School of Union University, where she was on law review.
Breaking New Ground and Changing Precedents: Jeanine Pirro
Judge Pirro has always been forging new boundaries in her practice of law. She became an Assistant District Attorney in Westchester County in 1975. In 1990, she became the first female judge to sit on the county court bench. Then in 1993, Judge Pirro was elected District Attorney of Westchester County, once again setting a precedent as the first female to hold that position. She was re-elected in 1997 and 2001.
Prosecuting murder, rape, domestic violence and other important cases -- with a 100% conviction rate -- Judge Pirro received considerable recognition for her work as a leading advocate for victims of domestic violence and worked tirelessly to change the landscape of how courts deal with these issues.
With an innovative approach to crimes committed on the Internet, Judge Pirro began one of the nation's first Internet pedophile sting operations.
Judge Pirro Gaining National Notoriety
Judge Pirro's reputation was growing -- and so was her national visibility. She appeared on various television programs, including "Larry King Live" and "Nightline." People magazine named her as one the 50 Most Beautiful People in 1997. Then, in 2006, when the Republican Party chose her as the candidate for New York State Attorney General, it catapulted her career to a new level.

Most recently, Judge Pirro has been a legal analyst and judicial commentator on "The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet" and a news analyst on FOX News. She has also made numerous appearances as a legal analyst on CNN and on such shows as "Today," "Good Morning America," "The Early Show" and "60 Minutes."
As a constant presence in the courtroom, politics and on television, Judge Pirro now brings her considerable life experience and no-nonsense yet compassionate voice to daily viewers.
